How to Build your Social Media Campaign
Ok so you’ve purchased some facebook likes and you’ve now got thousands of people willing and able to see your page.
So what’s your next step?
Creating an ongoing social strategy is very important and to put this in place through your seamless effort (at the time of building up your likes). Just because you have thousands of people liking your page doesn’t automatically mean they will all just turn your page into an overnight success. The strategy has to be nurtured over time.
So how do you slowly build up your social media strategy?
Firstly, people have liked your page for a reason. Whether they like your products, services or are just interested in knowing more, you need to keep people updated so they can remember you and get involved with your community when something interests them.
Create a Status updates
Ask users for their opinions on a matter. This way you can engage users and get their first post on your page. You’ll be surprised to see how many first posters turn into regular posters on your site.
Create a Poll
This is the simplest and best form of engagement on your page. Create a multiple choice question for people to answer. It will show up in their newsfeed and they can answer a question with the simple click of a button.
The real beauty of this is that when users answer a question its shown across the newsfeed of their friends, so effectively your reach can be 20-30 times larger than your fan base!
Create a Facebook Advertising Campaign
Although this can be quite expensive it does bring in very highly targeted users. The downside is that you might be paying $5-10 per like which can add up over a 3 month period. Try a few different ad creative to see what works best and once you know, focus more of your spend in this area.
Market to your Twitter & LinkedIn connections
With Twitter and LinkedIn being free marketing tools, they can help you cross-promote your business to a new market outside of facebook. Join some LinkedIn groups and get advise and ideas from other users and help build up your connections that way. With twitter, it’s much the same as facebook in that you need to build up your twitter following. Attract users with quality content and you’ve already won half the battle!
So unless you live under a rock you’re using facebook or twitter as you’re preferred social network. With 50% of users logging in daily you have over 182 opportunities to get in front of your audience and get them engaged in your business. Do it right and you’ll be reaping the benefits in 6 months time. Do it wrong and you’re back at square one!
If I haven’t made it clear enough- Ensure you provide the users with quality content and information and you’ll be on the road to online social success for your business for many many, years to come (whether by facebook or any future social media platform that becomes the worldwide leader).
